More Dirty Tactics From Obama's Camp

First, the background:

Palin Dropped From Rally Following Threats From Democrats

Web EXCLUSIVE: Threats to sponsors may have led to Palin invite reversal

All of the above, leading to the cancellation of VP Candidate Sarah Palin's speech is just more of Obama Camp's use of the National People's Action group tactics: spread fear of organized retribution.

Sarah Palin must go on the attack; let loose on her own, I think she could kick some serious ass. If her handlers will just provide her with information about Obama's campaign, and let her off the leash, she could be real trouble for Obama's image.

That goes for her debates and interviews, as well. The McCain-Palin campaign can't afford to play it safe and conservative. Sic her on Michelle Obama, too - attack her past activities in voter-fraud ACORN, put their associations with Tony Rezko on trial, media-style..

The point is, McCain's campaign has been relatively successful at putting Obama on the defensive. Now they need to hit him, and hit him hard, with everything they've got.

Then the text of a McCain/Palin to Amadinejad speech...

McCain's Campaign Releases Text of Palin's Canceled Speech

by Nissan Ratzlav-Katz

(IsraelNN.com) The protest outside the United Nations on Monday against Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who is slated to address the General Assembly, was somewhat shadowed by a disinvited speaker - vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin. At John McCain campaign headquarters, however, they felt his running mate should still be heard; so they released the text of the Alaska governor's undelivered speech to the media.

"Iran is not only a regional threat; it threatens the entire world."
- Gov. Palin

At first, American VIPs invited to address the protest, organized by several American Jewish organizations, included Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) and Representative Jerry Nadler (D-NY). When Clinton learned that organizers also invited Palin, the one-time Democratic presidential candidate said that she would not be attending. In response, saying they did not want the event to be partisan, the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations removed Palin from the list of invitees as well.

Nonetheless, Palin will be in New York on Tuesday for meetings with world leaders attending the UN General Assembly's opening sessions. She has also been invited to take part in another protest against Ahmadinejad slated for Thursday night. The Iranian premier will be attending a dinner in his honor at the Grand Hyatt Hotel sponsored by five Christian organizations. The president of the UN General Assembly, Miguel d’Escoto Brockmann, is also slated to take part in the event.

Murder is Part of Iran's Official Policy

This week, the McCain campaign released the text of the speech Governor Palin was intending to deliver at the anti-Ahmadinejad rally. The following are key excerpts:

"Ahmadinejad may choose his words carefully, but underneath all of the rhetoric is an agenda that threatens all who seek a safer and freer world. We gather here today to highlight the Iranian dictator's intentions and to call for action to thwart him.

"He must be stopped.

"The world must awake to the threat this man poses to all of us. Ahmadinejad denies that the Holocaust ever took place. He dreams of being an agent in a 'Final Solution' - the elimination of the Jewish people. He has called Israel a 'stinking corpse' that is 'on its way to annihilation.' Such talk cannot be dismissed as the ravings of a madman - not when Iran just this summer tested long-range Shahab-3 missiles capable of striking Tel Aviv, not when the Iranian nuclear program is nearing completion, and not when Iran sponsors terrorists that threaten and kill innocent people around the world.

"....So, what should we do about this growing threat?

"First, we must succeed in Iraq. If we fail there, it will jeopardize the democracy the Iraqis have worked so hard to build, and empower the extremists in neighboring Iran. Iran has armed and trained terrorists who have killed our soldiers in Iraq, and it is Iran that would benefit from an American defeat in Iraq.

"If we retreat without leaving a stable Iraq, Iran's nuclear ambitions will be bolstered. If Iran acquires nuclear weapons they could share them tomorrow with the terrorists they finance, arm, and train today. Iranian nuclear weapons would set off a dangerous regional nuclear arms race that would make all of us less safe.

"But Iran is not only a regional threat; it threatens the entire world. It is the number one state sponsor of terrorism. It sponsors the world's most vicious terrorist groups, Hamas and Hizbullah. Together, Iran and its terrorists are responsible for the deaths of Americans in Lebanon in the 1980s, in Saudi Arabia in the 1990s, and in Iraq today. They have murdered Iraqis, Lebanese, Palestinians and other Muslims who have resisted Iran's desire to dominate the region. They have persecuted countless people simply because they are Jewish.

"Iran is responsible for attacks not only on Israelis, but on Jews living as far away as Argentina. Anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial are part of Iran's official ideology and murder is part of its official policy.

"Not even Iranian citizens are safe from their government's threat to those who want to live, work and worship in peace. Politically-motivated abductions, torture, death by stoning, flogging, and amputations are just some of its state-sanctioned punishments. ...[The] Iranian government is both oppressive and barbaric. Under Ahmadinejad's rule, Iranian women are some of the most vulnerable citizens.

"If an Iranian woman shows too much hair in public, she risks being beaten or killed. If she walks down a public street in clothing that violates the state dress code, she could be arrested. But in the face of this harsh regime, the Iranian women have shown courage. Despite threats to their lives and their families, Iranian women have sought better treatment through the One Million Signatures Campaign Demanding Changes to Discriminatory Laws. The authorities have reacted with predictable barbarism. Last year, women's rights activist Delaram Ali was sentenced to 20 lashes and 10 months in prison for committing the crime of 'propaganda against the system.'

"....Earlier this year, Senator Clinton said that 'Iran is seeking nuclear weapons, and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps is in the forefront of that' effort. Senator Clinton argued that part of our response must include stronger sanctions, including the designation of the IRGC as a terrorist organization. John McCain and I could not agree more.

"Senator Clinton understands the nature of this threat and what we must do to confront it. This is an issue that should unite all Americans. Iran should not be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons. Period. And in a single voice, we must be loud enough for the whole world to hear: Stop Iran!"

"This is an issue that should unite all Americans." - Gov. Palin

Gov. Palin went on to suggest concrete actions, such as pressing "for truly tough sanctions at the UN, or with our allies if Iran's allies continue to block action in the UN We must start with restrictions on Iran's refined petroleum imports. We must reduce our dependency on foreign oil to weaken Iran's economic influence. We must target the regime's assets abroad; bank accounts, investments, and trading partners. President Ahmadinejad should be held accountable for inciting genocide, a crime under international law. We must sanction Iran's Central Bank and the Revolutionary Guard Corps - which no one should doubt is a terrorist organization.

"Together, we can stop Iran's nuclear program."

In her conclusion, Palin reiterated a mantra promoted before Jewish audiences by presidential candidate McCain:

"Senator McCain has made a solemn commitment that I strongly endorse: Never again will we risk another Holocaust. And this is not a wish, a request, or a plea to Israel's enemies.

"This is a promise that the United States and Israel will honor, against any enemy who cares to test us. It is John McCain's promise and it is my promise."

Barack Obama Is An Anti-American Pig

Barack Hussein Obama has finally come out of the closet, as he puts together a team of Missouri sheriffs and high-profile prosecutors, dubbed the "TRUTH SQUAD", whose mandate is to (threaten to) prosecute anyone who steps on THE ONE's toes during the presidential campaign. This goes beyond the pale of any political tactic ever seen in American politics. It is also a sneak preview of what is to come if Obama wins the presidency. h/t Hot Air

You have to remind yourself that this is simply a tactic that he learned at the feet of such anti-Americans
as Saul (The Red) Salinsky protegé, John L. McNight., who sits on the board of the National People's Action, a group described by Michelle Malkin as:

a "left-wing goon squad." She says NPA has been known to bus hundreds of angry protestors to the homes of business and government leaders to demand "justice" for inner-city blacks
Under color of law, he is suppressing the First Amendment of our US Constitution. How can we just sit by and watch these terroristic tactics applied by a candidate for the US Presidency? I hope the answer to that question is that we won't sit idlely by, as he quickly demonstrates Leninist tactics against free speech, when his own campaign is about to tank. First, was his campaign's Obama Action Wire, which went on the attack against journalist David Freddoso, who dared to speak the truth.
The campaign's Obama Action Wire tried to drown out investigative journalist David Freddoso who wrote the New York Times bestseller, The Case Against Barack Obama, when he appeared September 15 on "Extension 720," a Chicago radio show.

The Obama campaign sent out an emergency "Obama Wire Alert" to supporters, urging them to stir up trouble for Freddoso, whose book is now number 5 on the Times' bestseller list (hardcover nonfiction), the Chicago Tribune's blog, The Swamp, reports. "The author of the latest anti-Barack hit book is appearing on WGN Radio in the Chicagoland market tonight, and your help is urgently needed to make sure his baseless lies don't gain credibility," the political all-points bulletin read.

"David Freddoso has made a career off dishonest, extreme hate mongering," the email claimed. "And WGN apparently thinks this card-carrying member of the right-wing smear machine needs a bigger platform for his lies and smears about Barack Obama -- on the public airwaves."
Such an accusation is of course completely untrue, but truth isn't the criterion here in Obama's camp. Winning at all costs is the strategic objective, a campaign policy which I hope doesn't go unnoticed by the American voters.

And in fact, Missouri Governor Matt Blunt (nice name) has issued the following verbal spanking to Barack Hussein Obama and his camp:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Saturday, September 27, 2008
Contact: Jessica Robinson, 573-751-0290

Gov. Blunt Statement on Obama Campaign’s Abusive Use of Missouri Law Enforcement

JEFFERSON CITY - Gov. Matt Blunt today issued the following statement on news reports that have exposed plans by U.S. Senator Barack Obama to use Missouri law enforcement to threaten and intimidate his critics.

“St. Louis County Circuit Attorney Bob McCulloch, St. Louis City Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce, Jefferson County Sheriff Glenn Boyer, and Obama and the leader of his Missouri campaign Senator Claire McCaskill have attached the stench of police state tactics to the Obama-Biden campaign.

“What Senator Obama and his helpers are doing is scandalous beyond words, the party that claims to be the party of Thomas Jefferson is abusing the justice system and offices of public trust to silence political criticism with threats of prosecution and criminal punishment.

“This abuse of the law for intimidation insults the most sacred principles and ideals of Jefferson. I can think of nothing more offensive to Jefferson’s thinking than using the power of the state to deprive Americans of their civil rights. The only conceivable purpose of Messrs. McCulloch, Obama and the others is to frighten people away from expressing themselves, to chill free and open debate, to suppress support and donations to conservative organizations targeted by this anti-civil rights, to strangle criticism of Mr. Obama, to suppress ads about his support of higher taxes, and to choke out criticism on television, radio, the Internet, blogs, e-mail and daily conversation about the election.

“Barack Obama needs to grow up. Leftist blogs and others in the press constantly say false things about me [Gov Blunt] and my family. Usually, we ignore false and scurrilous accusations because the purveyors have no credibility. When necessary, we refute them. Enlisting Missouri law enforcement to intimidate people and kill free debate is reminiscent of the Sedition Acts - not a free society.” [emp added]
It is time for people everywhere to simply speak the truth about Barack Hussein Obama. I say, he is an Anti-American pig, who doesn't deserve a place in our government: of the people, by the people, for the people. Furthermore, his Leninist leanings can only further divide America in it's time of moral dilemma. We need true leaders in government, not nihilistic losers such as Barack and Michelle Obama, who have amply proven their anti-American sentiments over and over again.

The Democratic Party must purge itself of the extreme Leftists who have usurped liberal policies, and turned their
platform into a Marxist, race-baiting Party of malcontents, epitomized by the Obama Camp.

The Republican Party must become responsive to the needs of the American Middle Class by ridding itself of the fascist elements which would turn America into a dictatorship.

Congress itself must once again resume its rightful role in government, and stop allowing the Executive and Judicial branches of government to usurp the will of the American people.

Vote for America, not against her, and let's get working together to re-build her as our forefathers envisioned her: America The Beautiful.

Not "God-D___ America", but God Bless America.

Politics Are Politics -Winner Take All

I think the bailout is unwise, given the natural market-place antidotes to unwise lending. You mess up, you pay for your own mistakes. But in the following short observation by Dick Morris and Eileen McGann, they paint a brighter picture of The Hill shenanigans. Obama steps in doo-doo, McCain comes out smelling like a rose. I like that, in spite of my objections to a Washington Bailout.

THE BRILLIANCE OF MCCAIN’S MOVE

By Dick Morris And Eileen McGann
09.26.2008

McCain has transformed a minority in both houses of Congress and a losing position in the polls into the key role in the bailout package, the main man around whom the final package will take shape. He arrived in Washington to find the Democrats working with the Bush Administration to pass an unpopular $700 billion bailout. The Democrats had already cut their deal with Bush. The Dems agreed to the price tag while Bush agreed to special aid to families facing foreclosure, equity for the taxpayers, and limits on executive compensation. But no sooner had McCain arrived than he derailed the deal.

Knowing how unpopular the bailout is with the American people, the Democrats are not about to pass anything without broad Republican support even though their majorities permit them to act alone. Instead of signing on with the Democratic/Bush package, the House Republicans are insisting on replacing the purchase of corporate debt with loans to companies and insurance paid for by the companies, not by the taxpayers. That, of course, is a popular position. McCain would be comfortable to debate this issue division all day. And, if the Dems don’t cave into the Republican position, that’s probably exactly what he’ll do on Friday night’s scheduled debate in Mississippi.

But the Democrats are not about to be stubborn. They know their package is a lemon and need the political cover of Republican support. So the Republicans can write their own ticket…and they will. John McCain will be at the center of the emerging compromise while Obama is out on the campaign trail kissing babies. If the deal is cut before Friday’s debate, my bet is that McCain shows up in triumph. If it isn’t, he shows up anyway and flagellates Obama over the differences between the Democratic package and McCain’s.

By Monday, at the latest, the Democrats have to cave in and pass the Republican version. They don’t dare pass their own without GOP support, so they will have to cave in to the Republican version.

Then McCain comes out of the process as the hero who made it happen when the president couldn’t and Obama wouldn’t. He becomes the bailout expert.

And, of course, the bailout will work. With the feds standing behind the bad debt, whether by purchase or loans and insurance, Wall Street will breathe a sigh of relief. Bears won’t dare bet against the economy with the entire weight of the federal government on the other side. They may be bears but they are not rabid.

Finally, McCain, as the reigning expert on bailouts, then can take the tax issue to Obama, saying that a tax increase, such as the Democrat is pushing, would destroy the bailout, ruin the economy, and trigger a collapse.

This bold move by McCain is about to work. Big time.

Saul Alinsky / John L. McNight / Barack Obama: Design & execute a take-down of White American, Judeo-Christian Values

Saul Alinsky / John L. McNight / Barack Obama have a plan for America's "social ills" - it's called... the "Urban Prosperity Plan"

Guess who recommended Obama to enter Harvard?

Mystery man in senator's memoir now revealed as disciple of socialist agitator

Saul Alinsky
In a revelation tying Barack Obama even closer to radical community organizing, WND has learned that a renowned disciple of the late socialist agitator Saul "The Red" Alinksy wrote a letter of recommendation for Obama when he applied to Harvard Law School.

Obama approached Northwestern University professor John L. McKnight – a loyal student of Alinsky's radical tactics – to pen the Harvard letter in the late 1980s. McKnight serves on the boards of radically anti-American groups in Chicago, including one accused of thuggery.

Obama in his 2006 memoir alludes to McKnight – whom he describes as an "older man who had been active in the civil rights efforts in Chicago in the sixties" – but stops short of identifying him by name. He referred to him only as "my friend."

But McKnight, who enforced affirmative action for Attorney General Robert Kennedy, was far more than that to young Obama. He helped train him in the agitation tactics of Alinsky, who wrote the organizing manual, "Rules for Radicals," which he dedicated to mankind's "very first radical, Lucifer."

The Chicago-based Gamaliel Foundation lists McKnight as a board director. From1985 to 1988, Obama worked for a subsidiary of Gamaliel, where he cut his teeth as a community organizer on Chicago's South Side. McKnight and Gamaliel, which was founded on Alinsky's principles, provided training for the budding radical.

Before leaving for Harvard, Obama wrote an article published in a journal titled, "After Alinsky: Community Organizing in Illinois," in which he praised McKnight and his organizing strategies. He also decried "institutional racism" and called for more "power" to put in place "a systematic approach to community organization."

Barack Obama teaching Alinsky organizing tactics

While at Harvard, he found time to take advanced training courses at the Industrial Areas Foundation, a group founded by Alinsky and affiliated with Gamaliel. He also would return to Chicago to work as a consultant and trainer for Gamaliel.

Under the tutelage of McKnight and other hardcore students of Alinsky, Obama says he got the "best education I ever had, better than anything I got at Harvard Law School." He made the remark last year while campaigning in Iowa.

His mentor McKnight also sits on the board of a militant leftist group called the National People's Action, the professor's curriculum vita reveals. NPA employs the hardball street tactics of Alinskyite organizing.

NPA claims to be simply a coalition of neighborhood advocacy groups based in Chicago, but conservative analyst Michelle Malkin describes it as a "left-wing goon squad." She says NPA has been known to bus hundreds of angry protestors to the homes of business and government leaders to demand "justice" for inner-city blacks.

While preparing to intimidate the families of officials and trample over their private property, she says NPA picketers belt out the following battle cry:

Who's on your hit list, NPA?
Who's on your hit list for today?
Take no prisoner, take no names.
Kick 'em in the a-- when they play their games.
"NPA's militant tactics cross the bounds of decent political debate," Malkin wrote in 2004. Obama, in his 1995 memoir, said he wanted to go to Harvard Law School to "learn power's currency in all its intricacy," with the goal of "making large-scale change" as a national politician.

John L. McKnight
Before writing his recommendation, McKnight, a former ACLU director, advised Obama not to
"compromise" his principles.

While Obama says he's perhaps more tolerant of compromise than McKnight, he says his views
haven't really changed from his days organizing on behalf of radical Alinsky groups like Gamaliel and ACORN in Chicago.

"My views are not so much more refined than they were when I labored in obscurity as a community organizer," he averred in his 2006 autobiography.

Socialist dream

Alinsky, the father of community organizing, dreamed of socialism one day replacing the "jungle" of American capitalism. He wrote that he hoped "for a future where the means of production will be owned by all of the people instead of just a comparative handful."

Alinsky dedicated the first edition of his book, "Rules for Radicals," to Satan: "Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom – Lucifer."

McKnight has advocated for another war on poverty, something Obama is proposing with his "Urban Prosperity" plan.

Why A Washington Bailout Isn't Necessary or Wise or Prudent

The New Republic

The Wrong Emergency

by Roger Lowenstein
Tuesday, Sept 23, 2008

What Washington doesn't understand about the financial crisis.

Congress should think long and hard before giving Hank Paulson $700 billion to buy fallen mortgage securities. Paulson has draped his bailout plan in the cloak of a national emergency. Much as George W. Bush demanded expedited action from Congress to help fight terrorism, the treasury secretary wants his war-chest pronto. And just as Dick Cheney and his minions argued that the terrorism threat was too grave for the White House to submit to the customary checks and balances, so Paulson wants an appropriation with no conditions, no terms--nothing written down about how he would spend the money.

All Paulson has said is that the Treasury (and not an independent agency, as was the case during the 1980s savings and loan crisis) needs the money to buy distressed mortgage paper. Since almost no restrictions govern the use of the bailout, money could be used to buy securities held by strong institutions as well as weak ones. What price they would pay, how that price would be set, and for what assets--all to be determined later. The Treasury's charter would turn every bank into the equivalent of the former Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac--a government sponsored (but now quite government owned) enterprise, a half-man, half-beast Centaur seeking profit for their shareholders and distributing their losses to taxpayers.

Paulson, the former Goldman Sachs banker, whose stock when he cashed out in 2006 was worth half billion dollars, is sure to argue that the appropriations are necessary because the market is illiquid. Yet a market for mortgage paper still exists. "Sellers just don't like the bids," a hedge fund manager told me. A manager with a big money management company confirmed that if Citigroup, Goldman, and the rest want to unload their securities, his firm has money to spend. "We just can't spend as much as Paulson," he noted.

The only conceivable purpose of Treasury intervention is to buoy the market (using taxpayer funds) by paying higher-than-market prices. After all, if the government merely intended to match the market, what would be the point?

The sums involved are staggering. As a comment that Greg Mankiw, the former White House economic adviser, posted on his blog asked, "Has more money ever been given with fewer restrictions on how it is used? Ever?"

In 1932, at the height of the Great Depression, the government created the Reconstruction Finance Corp. to make loans to banks, railroads and others. President Hoover asked for $2 billion--equivalent in today's money to $30 billion--and spent just under that amount in the RFC's first year. The country then was in the midst of an economic catastrophe. Economic output had dropped 45 percent. Production of steel and autos were each down by three-quarters. Unemployment was 24 percent, and so on.

The allocation sought by Paulson is 23 times bigger. And it is in addition to the tens of billions pledged to back loans to Bear Stearns, Fannie, Freddie and A.I.G.

America's economy does not face an emergency--only its financial system does. This is a distinction lost on the bankers in Washington, but it is one worth remembering. On Main Street, unemployment is 6.1 percent. Home prices are down close to 20 percent and presumably headed lower. These numbers are not pretty, but they do not add up to an economic Pearl Harbor or even close.

Of course, potentially several million Americans face home foreclosure. That is a crisis, but it is a slow-developing one, for which the normal legislative process--as distinct from a shotgun corralling of Congress--will suffice. And the Paulson plan does not help homeowners.

The only emergency is on Wall Street, and that is entirely of Wall Street's making. It was the banks that made the loans, the banks that bought the paper, the banks that dumbly believed the models that said that housing prices wouldn't collapse. The pinstriped bankers who leveraged their institutions' capital thirty-to-one so as to inflate their profits (and their personal take) now complain they were done in by those nasty short-sellers. How touching to see executives from the likes of Lehman Brothers, not normally an institution associated with widows and orphans, squawk about cutthroat tactics. Regardless, had they not borrowed so much, they would not have been vulnerable.

Ultimately, the issue of blame is less important than is the question of whether markets will eventually right without a federalization of losses. After a lifetime as a champion of free markets, Paulson should carefully explain why he no longer thinks they will. And Congress should listen with just as much care.
[emphasis added]

Roger Lowensten is a contributing editor at The New York Times Magazine and author, most recently, of While America Aged: How Pension Debts Ruined General Motors, Stopped the NYC Subways, Bankrupted San Diego, and Loom as the Next Financial Crisis (2008).

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Since the Progressives Socialists in government caused this crisis-in-a-teapot by pushing banks to make unwise housing loans in the first place (so even people ineligible for a housing loan can have what they didn't work for, didn't earn or deserve), it is a foregone conclusion that Congress will authorize the bailout, after adding a few goodies of their own to the bill, of course.
What the Hell, it's just (bad) paper, anyway. Right?
What's even more bizarre is that the Federal Government will have to "borrow" the paper, at interest from the Federal Reserve, a private institution consisting of 12 private banks who control, absolutely, America's money supply. In fact it is the mother of all PPP's with it's foot on the necks of the American people. In order to finance the bailout, the Federal Reserve will simply print more (paper) money (700 Billions worth), on which it will collect interest from the government. Now who do you suppose will have to pay off that debt?
Tag, you're it, taxpayer.
Will The Democrats Fold? Probably
POLITICO
Dems say they won???t get fooled again
Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) says he’s seen this movie before: The Bush administration, citing an unprecedented national threat, puts the hammer on Congress to ram through gargantuan legislation with a minimum of review — and the murkiest of repercussions.
“We will do something this week — but if we learned anything from right after 9/11, it’s that the biggest mistake is to pass anything they ask for just because it’s an emergency,” Leahy says.
The Senate Judiciary Committee chairman knows of what he speaks. He sponsored the original Patriot Act, only to feel betrayed later when the Bush administration used it to justify domestic wire tapping.
Historically, breathtaking national crises have spurred Congress to act swiftly, sweepingly and in bipartisan lockstep, with ornery legislators casting aside years of bickering to produce consensus at breakneck speed.
But the current generation of Democratic congressional leaders feels burned — and not a little humiliated — by the Bush administration’s use of the 2001 attacks to justify both the speedy enactment of the controversial and complex USA Patriot Act and congressional authorization of the resolution authorizing the use of force in Iraq.
“They can’t get away with what they did in 2001,” Leahy said. “This will be ‘trust but verify.’ The biggest mistake they can make is holding a press conference while we’re negotiating to say there’s going to be a worldwide depression if Congress doesn’t do exactly what we want them to.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I have to agree with Sen. Leahy. The bigger the scam, the easier it is to pull it off. Fear, instability,calamity, chaos. We've seen and heard it all before. Act NOW!! We can't afford to wait one minute. And for sure this is a scam more colossal than any they've ever pulled.

What do you want to bet that the Dems fold, as they always do when it comes to authorizing big money, no questions asked, and be damned quick about it. Huge amounts of money to a Democrat has a mesmerizing effect, like no any other.

I don't study the money markets, but I would be willing to bet a rib steak that this move will fuck over Americans (you know, the Middle Class) forever. It's the Golden Rule: whoever has the gold, rules. It's why going off the gold standard was the single-most devastating event in American history over the last one hundred and fifty years.

When Does Life Begin? Don't Ask Barack Obama

Obama, who gets his toes stepped on by a partial-birth abortion survivor, is squawking about this video;

"Squawk, Squawk
" says Obama Heh - it's hard to take 100 "present" votes out of context

BUT,

Barack Obama's actions speak louder than his words.

What he says:

"As president, my goal is to bring people together, to listen to them, and I don't think that's any Republican out there who I've worked with who would say that I don't listen to them, I don't respect their ideas, I don't understand their perspective. And my goal is to get us out of this polarizing debate where we're always trying to score cheap political points and actually get things done."

Yes, just so long as is what gets done is some kind of democratic collectivism. Obama wants to "talk about it", simply because he loves the sound of his own voice.

"Q: Do you personally believe that life begins at conception?

A: This is something that I have not come to a firm resolution on. I think it's very hard to know what that means, when life begins. Is it when a cell separates? Is it when the soul stirs? So I don't presume to know the answer to that question. What I know is that there is something extraordinarily powerful about potential life and that that has a moral weight to it that we take into consideration when we're having these debates. "

Could it be that Obama, the dipshit who presumes to teach kindergartners about sex, never bought a pack of condoms? Hmmm... Perhaps it's just a knotty dilemma that's over his pay scale.

Well, he must have SOME idea when life begins, because, as a man of action, he voted YES on $100M to reduce teen pregnancy by education & contraceptives, as well as being a poster boy for Planned Parenthood.

Here's what 67 million Catholics believe...

It's a good video in spite of the celestial choir music, which can be muted

Now this next video is purely for Barack Obama's edification.

Fertilization & Fetal Development

This is the way I see it: According to the rules of Sanskritta (the rules of Sanskrit grammar), when two things - be it sounds or anything else - meet, a third thing arises. This meeting is called sandhi. In the case of human conception, when egg and sperm come together, what arises is not a soul (souls don't die), but a vehicle for a soul to occupy, in order for that soul to take up it's quest for union with God. What rules at the conception of a human body is a bond between God and the soul which takes possession of that human body. Any human interference with that bond is fraught with danger for mankind. What is often missing at the point of conception is love. Or love is replaced by fear, or selfish desires. It is this human weakness that the Planned Parenthood, pro-choice proponents exploit.

When love and understanding are absent, it might seem reasonable to "put off" having a baby. Just jettison the foetus, problem gone. Or in the case of partial-birth abortions, a peculiar human abomination, just yank out the unborn baby (except the head, which is then stabbed with a pair of scissors, at which point the brains are sucked out). When love is absent, even murder seems reasonable. By framing the question, "When does life begin?", our focus on the reality of the bond between God and the soul is covered in ignorance. [ ignorance means "to ignore" ] Only when mankind re-gains it's connection with God (and there are many avenues to that connection) will such heinous crimes cease.

There was a time when euthanization seemed practical to many people, and not just Nazi Germany, either. The Germans, being practical, pragmatic people, just got it together faster than anyone else. But then, only because it had an objectionable agenda (exterminating Jews), a cry went out. But at the time, and preceding the Holocaust, many imminent people in society thought it entirely reasonable to exterminate the "inferior" members of humanity. Now here we have it again, man interfering with the soul's bond with God, just in a less obvious way, in that the human babies being exterminated have no social standing. They are just lumps of flesh to be disposed of, whenever their presence is inconvenient.

A Feminist's Argument for McCain's VP

By Tammy Bruce

In the shadow of the blatant and truly stunning sexism launched against the Hillary Rodham Clinton presidential campaign, and as a pro-choice feminist, I wasn't the only one thrilled to hear Republican John McCain announce Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate. For the GOP, she bridges for conservatives and independents what I term "the enthusiasm gap" for the ticket. For Democrats, she offers something even more compelling - a chance to vote for a someone who is her own woman, and who
represents a party that, while we don't agree on all the issues, at least respects women enough to take them seriously.

Whether we have a D, R or an "i for independent" after our names, women share a different life experience from men, and we bring that difference to the choices we make and the decisions we come to. Having a woman in the White House, and not as The Spouse, is a change whose time has come, despite the fact that some Democratic Party leaders have decided otherwise. But with the Palin nomination, maybe they'll realize it's not up to them any longer. Clinton voters, in particular, have received a political wake-up call they never expected. Having watched their candidate and their principles betrayed by the very people who are supposed to be the flame-holders for equal rights and fairness, they now look across the aisle and see a woman who represents everything the feminist movement claimed it stood for. Women can have a family and a career. We can be whatever we choose, on our own terms. For some, that might mean shooting a moose. For others, perhaps it's about shooting a movie or shooting for a career as a teacher. However diverse our passions, we will vote for a system that allows us to make the choices that best suit us. It's that simple.

The rank bullying of the Clinton candidacy during the primary season has the distinction of simply being the first revelation of how misogynistic the party has become. The media led the assault, then the Obama campaign continued it. Trailblazer Geraldine Ferraro, who was the first Democratic vice presidential candidate, was so taken aback by the attacks that she publicly decried nominee Barack Obama as "terribly sexist" and openly criticized party chairman Howard Dean for his remarkable silence on the obvious sexism.

Concerned feminists noted, among other thinly veiled sexist remarks during the campaign, Obama quipping, "I understand that Sen. Clinton, periodically when she's feeling down, launches attacks as a way of trying to boost her appeal," and Democratic Rep. Steve Cohen in a television interview comparing Clinton to a spurned lover-turned-stalker in the film, "Fatal Attraction," noting, "Glenn Close should have stayed in that tub, and Sen. Clinton has had a remarkable career...". These attitudes, and more, define the tenor of the party leadership, and sent a message to the grassroots and media that it was "Bros Before Hoes," to quote a popular Obama-supporter T-shirt.

The campaign's chauvinistic attitude was reflected in the even more condescending Democratic National Convention. There, the Obama camp made it clear it thought a Super Special Women's Night would be enough to quell the fervent support of the woman who had virtually tied him with votes and was on his heels with pledged delegates.

There was a lot of pandering and lip service to women's rights, and evenings filled with anecdotes of how so many have been kept from achieving their dreams, or failed to be promoted, simply because they were women. Clinton's "18 million cracks in the glass ceiling" were mentioned a heck of a lot. More people began to wonder, though, how many cracks does it take to break the thing?

Ironically, all this at an event that was negotiated and twisted at every turn in an astounding effort not to promote a woman.

Virtually moments after the GOP announcement of Palin for vice president, pundits on both sides of the aisle began to wonder if Clinton supporters - pro-choice women and gays to be specific - would be attracted to the McCain-Palin ticket. The answer is, of course. There is a point where all of our issues, including abortion rights, are made safer not only if the people we vote for agree with us - but when those people and our society embrace a respect for women and promote policies that increase our personal wealth, power and political influence.

Make no mistake - the Democratic Party and its nominee have created the powerhouse that is Sarah Palin, and the party's increased attacks on her (and even on her daughter) reflect that panic.

The party has moved from taking the female vote for granted to outright contempt for women. That's why Palin represents the most serious conservative threat ever to the modern liberal claim on issues of cultural and social superiority. Why? Because men and women who never before would have considered voting for a Republican have either decided, or are seriously considering, doing so.

They are deciding women's rights must be more than a slogan and actually belong to every woman, not just the sort approved of by left-wing special interest groups.

Palin's candidacy brings both figurative and literal feminist change. The simple act of thinking outside the liberal box, which has insisted for generations that only liberals and Democrats can be trusted on issues of import to women, is the political equivalent of a nuclear explosion.

The idea of feminists willing to look to the right changes not only electoral politics, but will put more women in power at lightning speed as we move from being taken for granted to being pursued, nominated and appointed and ultimately, sworn in.

It should be no surprise that the Democratic response to the McCain-Palin ticket was to immediately attack by playing the liberal trump card that keeps Democrats in line - the abortion card - where the party daily tells restless feminists the other side is going to police their wombs.

The power of that accusation is interesting, coming from the Democrats - a group that just told the world that if you have ovaries, then you don't count. Yes, both McCain and Palin identify as anti-abortion, but neither has led a political life with that belief, or their other religious principles, as their signature issue. Politicians act on their passions - the passion of McCain and Palin is reform. In her time in office, Palin's focus has not been to kick the gays and make abortion illegal; it has been to kick the corrupt and make wasteful spending illegal. The Republicans are now making direct appeals to Clinton supporters, knowingly crafting a political base that would include pro-choice voters.

On the day McCain announced her selection as his running mate, Palin thanked Clinton and Ferraro for blazing her trail. A day later, Ferraro noted her shock at Palin's comment. You see, none of her peers, no one, had ever publicly thanked her in the 24 years since her historic run for the White House. Ferraro has since refused to divulge for whom she's voting. Many more now are realizing that it does indeed take a woman - who happens to be a Republican named Sarah Palin.

Obama Can't Win Against Sarah Palin, Says Karl Rove

WSJ

OPINION

Obama Can't Win Against Palin
By KARL ROVE
September 11, 2008

Of all the advantages Gov. Sarah Palin has brought to the GOP ticket, the most important may be that she has gotten into Barack Obama's head. How else to explain Sen. Obama's decision to go one-on-one against "Sarah Barracuda," captain of the Wasilla High state basketball champs?

It's a matchup he'll lose. If Mr. Obama wants to win, he needs to remember he's running against John McCain for president, not Mrs. Palin for vice president.

Michael Dukakis spent the last months of the 1988 campaign calling his opponent's running mate, Dan Quayle, a risky choice and even ran a TV ad blasting Mr. Quayle. The Bush/Quayle ticket carried 40 states.

Adlai Stevenson spent the fall of 1952 bashing Dwight Eisenhower's running mate, Richard Nixon, calling him "the kind of politician who would cut down a redwood tree, and then mount the stump and make a speech for conservation." The Republican ticket carried 39 of 48 states.

If Mr. Obama keeps attacking Mrs. Palin, he could suffer the fate of his Democratic predecessors. These assaults highlight his own tissue-thin résumé, waste precious time better spent reassuring voters he is up for the job, and diminish him -- not her.

Consider Mr. Obama's response to CNN's Anderson Cooper, who asked him about Republican claims that Mrs. Palin beats him on executive experience. Mr. Obama responded by comparing Wasilla's 50 city workers with his campaign's 2,500 employees and dismissed its budget of about $12 million a year by saying "we have a budget of about three times that just for the month." He claimed his campaign "made clear" his "ability to manage large systems and to execute."

Of course, this ignores the fact that Mrs. Palin is now governor. She manages an $11 billion operating budget, a $1.7 billion capital expenditure budget, and nearly 29,000 full- and part-time state employees. In two years as governor, she's vetoed over $499 million from Alaska's capital budget -- more money than Mr. Obama is likely to spend on his entire campaign.

And Mr. Obama is not running his campaign's day-to-day operation. His manager, David Plouffe, assisted by others, makes the decisions about the $335 million the campaign has spent. Even if Mr. Obama is his own campaign manager, does that qualify him for president?

A debate between Mr. Obama and Mrs. Palin over executive experience also isn't smart politics for Democrats. As Mr. Obama talks down Mrs. Palin's record, voters may start comparing backgrounds. He won't come off well.

Then there was Mr. Obama's blast Saturday about Mrs. Palin's record on earmarks. He went at her personally, saying, "you been taking all these earmarks when it is convenient and then suddenly you are the champion anti-earmark person."

It's true. Mrs. Palin did seek earmarks as Wasilla's mayor. But as governor, she ratcheted down the state's requests for federal dollars, telling the legislature last year Alaska "cannot and must not rely so heavily on federal government earmarks." Her budget chief directed state agencies to reduce earmark requests to only "the most compelling needs" with "a strong national purpose," explaining to reporters "we really want to skinny it down."

Mr. Obama has again started a debate he can't win. As senator, he has requested nearly $936 million in earmarks, ratcheting up his requests each year he's been in the Senate. If voters dislike earmarks -- and they do -- they may conclude Mrs. Palin cut them, while Mr. Obama grabs for more each year.

Mr. Obama may also pay a price for his "lipstick on a pig" comment. The last time the word "lipstick" showed up in this campaign was during Mrs. Palin's memorable ad-lib in her acceptance speech. Mr. Obama says he didn't mean to aim the comment at Mrs. Palin, but he deserves all the negative flashback he gets from the snarky aside.

Sen. Joe Biden has now joined the attack on Mrs. Palin, saying this week that her views on issues show she's "obviously a backwards step for women." This is a mistake. Mr. Obama is already finding it difficult to win over independent women and Hillary Clinton voters. If it looks like he's going out of his way to attack Mrs. Palin, these voters may conclude it's because he has a problem with strong women.

In Denver two weeks ago, Mr. Obama said, "If you don't have a record to run on, then you paint your opponent as someone people should run from." That's what he's trying to do, only the object of his painting is Sarah Palin, not John McCain.

In Mrs. Palin, Mr. Obama faces a political phenomenon who has altered the election's dynamics. Americans have rarely seen someone who immediately connects with large numbers of voters at such a visceral level. Mrs. Palin may be the first vice presidential candidate since Lyndon B. Johnson to change an election's outcome. If Mr. Obama keeps attacking her, the odds of Gov. Palin becoming Vice President Palin increase significantly.

Mr. Rove is a former senior adviser and deputy chief of staff to President George W. Bush.

Update on Howard Industries: Soooo... Americans Are Willing To Work After All...

ClarionLedger.com

Applicants line up to fill jobs open after plant raid

August 27, 2008

LAUREL — Howard Industries found itself at the center of activity again Tuesday.

Hundreds of job applicants lined up, eager to take advantage of the sudden job openings at the plant located in Jones County, where the unemployment rate is 6.3 percent.

ICE agents on Monday seized 595 plant workers suspected of being in the country illegally. Several workers, who did not identify themselves, said Tuesday they were working and trying to keep the plant operational in the wake of the sudden loss of co-workers.

They said it was common knowledge many of their co-workers were suspected to be illegal.

It's an idea that maddens Samantha Stevens, 18, of Heidelberg, who was among those who pulled up to Avenue A across from the plant's entrance throughout the day. She said she has been unable to find a job since she graduated from Heidelberg High School in the spring and blames, in part, the willingness of companies to hire illegal workers.

"We were here first. It's not fair for them to have a job," she explained.

Others welcomed the vacancies left by the detained workers.

Gwendolyn Watkins, 40, of Stonewall said she drove 40 miles to Laurel to fill out an application with the electronics maker. She worked at Tower Automotive in Meridian as a production worker for eight months before job cuts in June left her unemployed.

She now hopes to get on at Howard, and said that, while "everyone needs a job," she believes that legal workers should be the priority.

But for Samantha Sanchez, the issue wasn't quite so clear-cut. She filled out her application at the plant, and, in the process, revisited a scene that caused her anguish the previous day. Her husband, Juan Sanchez, a welder, was one of the workers detained in Monday's raid, and she hasn't spoken to him since he called her Monday morning.

She said her husband, who has been living in the United States for 10 years and working on an immigration case for six, was on the verge of achieving permanent residency.

She also spoke to the issue of fairness that has the government secreting her husband and the father of her four children.

"He doesn't drink; he doesn't smoke. He takes care of his kids," she said.

As to why she would return so soon to this place, Sanchez, who's currently unemployed and had previously worked at Howard as a coil winder, said it comes down to dollars and cents.

"I have to feed my family," she said.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, lady - so do a lot of Americans, who have been pushed aside in favor of illegals like your husband.
Here's a thought: Take your kids and re-join your husband back in your country, until he achieves permanent residency, of course - whenever that may be.
Frankly, I don't care.
It's Samantha Stevens, and Gwendolyn Watkins who get my sympathy - and all the American workers who have been shat upon by the likes of the criminal management and owner Billy Howard at Howard Industries, in favor of cheap, illegal aliens like your husband. But it's not about sympathy- it's about the local economies, the American workers right to a fair shake at getting decent employment.
Lets face it: it's not enough to pull an ICE raid a few times a year (it took the Feds 4 years to get around to raiding this plant). No. The criminal owners like Billy Howard, and complicit managers must be brought to swift justice - jail time for the guilty. Otherwise, expect the hordes from corrupt, bankrupt economies, like those in Central America, to continue pouring in to America.
TV Station 7 ON YOUR SIDE said:
" We are told that these illegals came from various countries, including Germany, Mexico, Panama, Honduras, Brazil, El Salvador, and Guatamala.
It's time the myth of illegals "doing the jobs that Americans won't do" is laid aside for the truth.
You want the truth? Just ask any of the "hundreds of job applicants lined up, eager to take advantage of the sudden job openings" at Howard Industries. I'll just bet that many of them have to feed their families, too.
Maybe now they'll be able to.
Michelle Obama's Princeton Undergrad Thesis, Alas, Is On The Web
Michelle's Thesis is perhaps the most pitiful excuse I've ever seen for an undergraduate thesis composition. And the sad part is, she worked very hard at it. I have just scanned the entire 225 page thesis - One can just imagine the expression on her faculty advisor's face, when he (yes, it was a he - Professor Walter Wallace) began reading it. Her thesis is, in a word, awful. From almost any angle - content, scope, layout, punctuation, syntax, verb tense, to the curious stretching of maybe a (generous) 50 page composition, to 225 pages! It was stretched in every conceivable way, from ridiculously wide top, bottom, and side margins, to double,even triple spaces between words. In places single pages hold a single word, or a single line or number. Affirmative action, in action.
h/t Conservative Beach Girl
Dinesh D'Souza has more to say on Michelle, and what her thesis reveals. Here's an excerpt from his article,
Michelle Obama's Inferiority Complex
Consider the case of Michelle Obama. She was raised in a two-parent, middle-class family. She applied to one of America's top universities, Princeton, and was admitted. Of this experience, Michelle says on the stump, "All my life I have confronted people who had a certain expectation of me. Every step of the way, there has [sic] been people telling me what I couldn't do. When I applied to Princeton, they said: you can't go there, your test scores aren't high enough."
Which is all very moving, except that her test scores weren't high enough. Michelle Obama is part of the affirmative action generation of above-average but far-from-stellar performers who were granted preferential admission to America's most elite institutions.
Michelle notes that she graduated with honors in her major. Again, the problem is that her undergraduate thesis is on the web. You might expect that she wrote about Shakespeare's sonnets or the political evolution of W.E.B. Du Bois. Well, no. Essentially Michelle Obama wrote about the problems of being a black woman at an Ivy League university.
Here is a typical passage: "By actually working with the Black lower class or within their communities as a result of their ideologies, a separationist may better understand the desparation of their situation and feel more hopeless about a resolution as opposed to an integrationist who is ignorant to their plight."
Alas, the grammar is all wrong here. More than once, the tenses are garbled. People are ignorant "of" the plight of the lower class, not ignorant "to" their plight. And"desparation" should be spelled "desperation." To wreak so much havoc on the English language in one sentence, without conveying anything of substance, is perhaps deserving of a prize. Is this what her professors were thinking when they granted her honors? Whatever the Obamorons say, let's remember that that these are not mere typos; they reflect an estranged relationship to the English language. Moreover they appear not in an off-the-cuff transcript but in a thesis that is supposed to reflect the culmination of one's college career.
What her thesis also reveals is the quandary of some (notice I didn't say all ) affirmative action students who have been favored with an opportunity to gain a first-rate education, but who will not admit they didn't gain admission on their own merits. Rather, they have been graduated, not through exemplary performance, but in spite of exceptionally poor performance. In Michelle's Obama's case, she holds that it was her own determination and exceptional scholarship which propelled her to graduate "with Honors".
Here's another typical entry: "Attending Princeton has probably forced [black alumni] to compete intellectually with Whites more than with Blacks and, thus, they have probably become more familiar with Whites intellectually, but in other activities they are likely to have gained familiarity with Whites if they did not spend time with Whites in other activities besides intellectual ones[.]" (p49) Wait. What?
How old was this woman when she wrote this? Sheesh. I'm thinking affirmative action started long before her admittance to Princeton.
If one may judge her level of scholarship from the quality and content of her undergraduate thesis, then she should consider herself fortunate that she got past first semester of her freshman year. No one who is white, man or woman, could possibly have squeaked by without a better command than hers of the English language. Maybe in a community college, but not at Princeton. Obviously, gratitude is not her long suit.
I most certainly agree with D'Souza's contention that she does have a serious inferiority complex, and further, that she will not stop in her efforts to prove to the world that she, Michelle Obama, stands head and shoulders over the white middle class, which she holds with extreme distrust and resentment. The platform upon which she will stand is a gallows of moral superiority, from which she can begin the awesome task of disenfranchising the undeserving white majority. Perhaps, in the weeks to come, we will begin to see who is really the driving force behind Barack Obama's pursuit of the White (wink, wink) House. It is easy to see how the Rev. Jeremiah Wright's message struck a chord in malcontent Michelle's jealous heart.
Notice the Jackie O look.
If I know anything about human nature, the kind of inferiority feelings which Michelle Obama lives with daily will not give her peace, will not be assuaged by any personal achievement, because she will secretly, perversely hold herself up to the whites whom she distrusts and despises. A look, a word, any nuanced meaning extracted in common discourse will confirm what she suspects: she is not as good as whites. Barack Obama may have stepped back from Wright's rants, but I suspect that separationist [apparently a new word for separatist ] Michelle Obama needs the good Rev. rather more to fuel her fire of discontent. And remember, when a woman's unhappy, everyone's unhappy. A man, by his nature, will do most anything to keep a woman happy...
So yeah, this black couple who aspires to the White House, and who has already put the white majority on notice, should not get a free pass, should not be allowed to finish the job of putting our country under a totalitarian government.
Affirmative action must stop short of the White House.
Obama's Very Curiously Whacked Community Organizer Days
Quick update: Obama and Stephanopolous: The Latest and Greatest Gaffe
Host George Stephanopolous, in an interview with Barack Obama, addresses an Obama campaign comment recently that reportedly accused the McCain campaign of referring to Obama's "Muslim connections." Stephanopolous says: the McCain campaign has not made such accusations (paraphrased), and Obama stutters and stammers all around it. Then Obama makes his latest and greatest gaffe.
Heh - Snuffleupagus realizes Obama has just admitted to his Muslim faith, and comically tries to change Obama's words to "Christian faith", but alas, it's too late - the damage is done.
Why Obama's "Community Organizer" Days Are a Joke
by Michelle Malkin
Rudy Giuliani had me in stitches during his red-meat keynote address at the GOP convention. I laughed out loud when Giuliani laughed out loud while noting Barack Obama's deep experience as a "community organizer." I laughed again when VP nominee and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin cracked: "I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a 'community organizer,' except that you have actual responsibilities."
Team Obama was not amused. (Neither were the snarky left-wingers on cable TV who are now allergic to sarcasm.) They don't get why we snicker when Obama dons his Community Organizer cape. Apparently, the jibes rendered Obama's advisers sleepless. In a crack-of-dawn e-mail to Obama's followers hours after Giuliani and Palin spoke, campaign manager David Plouffe attempted to gin up faux outrage (and, more importantly, donations) by claiming grave offense on the part of community organizers everywhere. Fumed Plouffe:
"Both Rudy Giuliani and Sarah Palin specifically mocked Barack's experience as a community organizer on the South Side of Chicago more than two decades ago, where he worked with people who had lost jobs and been left behind when the local steel plants closed. Let's clarify something for them right now. Community organizing is how ordinary people respond to out-of-touch politicians and their failed policies."
Let me clarify something. Nobody is mocking community organizers in church basements and community centers across the country working to improve their neighbors' lives. What deserves ridicule is the notion that Obama's brief stint as a South Side rabble-rouser for tax-subsidized, partisan nonprofits qualifies as executive experience you can believe in.
What deserves derision is "community organizing" that relies on a community of homeless people and ex-cons to organize for the purpose of registering dead people to vote, shaking down corporations and using the race card as a bludgeon.
As I've reported previously, Obama's community organizing days involved training grievance-mongers from the far-left ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now). The ACORN mob is infamous for its bully tactics (which they dub "direct actions"); Obama supporters have recounted his role in organizing an ambush on a government planning meeting about a landfill project opposed by Chicago's minority lobbies.
With benefactors like Obama in office, ACORN has milked nearly four decades of government subsidies to prop up chapters that promote the welfare state and undermine the free market, as well as some that have been implicated in perpetuating illegal immigration and voter fraud. Since I last detailed ACORN's illicit activities in this column in June (see "The ACORN Obama knows," June 19, 2008), the group continues to garner scrutiny from law enforcement:
Last week, Milwaukee's top election official announced plans to seek criminal investigations of 37 ACORN employees accused of offering gifts to sign up voters (including prepaid gas cards and restaurant cards) or falsifying driver's license numbers, Social Security numbers or other information on voter registration cards.
Last month, a New Mexico TV station reported on the child rapists, drug offenders and forgery convicts on ACORN's payroll. In July, Pennsylvania investigators asked the public for help in locating a fugitive named Luis R. Torres-Serrano, who is accused "of submitting more than 100 fraudulent voter registration forms he collected on behalf of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now to county election officials." Also in July, a massive, nearly $1 million embezzlement scheme by top ACORN officials was exposed.
ACORN's political arm endorsed Obama in February and has ramped up efforts to register voters across the country. In the meantime, completely ignored by the mainstream commentariat and clean-election crusaders, the Obama campaign admitted failing to report $800,000 in campaign payments to ACORN. They were disguised as payments to a front group called "Citizen Services, Inc." for "advance work."
Jim Terry, an official from the Consumer Rights League, a watchdog group that monitors ACORN, noted: "ACORN has a long and sordid history of employing convoluted Enron-style accounting to illegally use taxpayer funds for their own political gain. Now it looks like ACORN is using the same type of convoluted accounting scheme for Obama's political gain." With a wave of his magic wand, Obama amended his FEC forms to change the "advance work" to "get-out-the-vote" work.
Now, don't you dare challenge his commitment to following tax and election laws. And don't you even think of entertaining the possibility that The One exploited a nonprofit supposedly focused on helping low-income people for political gain.
He was just "organizing" his "community." Guffaw.
AND...as long as we're looking for answers to the rabble-rousin', uh, I mean community organizing duo, known as Barack and Michelle - Socialists extraordinaire - why not take a look at his "meteoric rise" in the Ivy'd Halls of Harvard. A Saudi businessman in his background? It is hardly surprising the oilmen chose Obama. Look, why be surprised that a Marxist pair like Barack and Michelle have slipped into a position to usurp our government, to destroy America as we know it? After all, most Ivy League universities are thick with bespectacled, Gramscian Marxist pedagogues, who for decades have groomed and groomed their favored acolytes into positions of authority in government, to do exactly that.
Everybody knows Obama is an empty suit, who has accomplished jack shit in his dizzying rise in government. But now what? Will America turn loose a dangerously rabid duo of Marxist / Nihilists who have avowed to use all their power to further the Socialist platform, where the carefully created and favored "victim class"is eagerly awaiting their due. Can you say, reparations? Oh, and so much more. Like screeching Muslims, who he will use as a distraction. But don't worry, folks - it's for a GOOD (Black) CAUSE.
Barack Obama — Magna Cum Saudi?
By INVESTOR'S BUSINESS DAILY
Posted Friday, September 05, 2008
Election '08: Does Barack Obama owe his meteoric rise to an Israeli-hating adviser to a Saudi billionaire? Why did a race-baiting mentor to the Black Panthers favor this yet unknown community organizer?
In her stunning national political debut as the Republican candidate for vice president, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin described Obama as a man who had written two memoirs but no significant laws or reforms. So how did this unaccomplished community organizer rise to fame and fortune? He had some interesting help.
We know he's a Harvard graduate and was editor of the Harvard Law Review. Less known is the story of how he got into the prestigious Ivy League university. As Newsmax's Kenneth Timmerman reports, he was helped by a letter written by Percy Sutton, former Manhattan borough president and a credible candidate for mayor of New York in 1977.
In an interview earlier this year on New York's all-news cable channel NY1, the 88-year-old Sutton made some interesting revelations about his relationship with the young Obama. He told NY1 reporter Dominic Carter on "Inside City Hall" that he was introduced to Obama by a friend raising money for him. The friend asked Sutton to write a letter in support of Obama's application to Harvard law school.
"The friend's name is Dr. Khalid al-Mansour, from Texas," Sutton said. "He is the principal adviser to one of the world's richest men. He told me about Obama."
Sutton recalled that al-Mansour said, "There is a young man that has applied to Harvard. I know that you have a few friends up there because you used to go up there to speak. Would you please write a letter in support of him?" Sutton did.
According to Timmerman, "At the time Percy Sutton, a former lawyer for Malcolm X and a former business partner of al-Mansour, says he (al-Mansour) was raising money for Obama's graduate school education (and) al-Mansour was representing top members of the Saudi Royal family seeking to do business and exert influence in the United States."
One of those Saudi royals was Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, a nephew of Saudi King Abdullah. He was the Saudi prince who offered to donate $10 million to help New York rebuild after the terrorist attacks of 9/11. After the prince publicly suggested (as Obama's pastor, Jeremiah Wright, did recently) that U.S. policies brought on the attacks, then-Mayor Rudy Giuliani told Prince Alwaleed where he could deposit his check.
Dr. Khalid Abdullah Tariq al-Mansour, born Donald Warden, is another interesting fellow from Obama's past. He himself is a graduate of Harvard and has been a guest lecturer there. His writings and statements reveal him to be an ideological clone of the Rev. Wright, who married Barack and Michelle and baptized their children.
In his 1995 book, "The Lost Books of Africa Rediscovered," al-Monsour alleged that America was plotting genocide against black Americans. The first "genocide against the black man began 300 years ago," he said at a book-signing in Harlem, while a second "genocide" was on the way "to remove 15 million black people, considered disposable, of no relevance, value or benefit to the American society."
Al-Mansour told an audience in South Africa that "the Palestinians are treated like savages," something our worst ex-president, Jimmy Carter, as well as Wright might agree with. He has accused Israeli Jews of "stealing the land the same way the Christians stole the land from the Indians in America."
When he was known as Donald Warden, according to the Social Activism Project at the University of California at Berkeley, al-Monsour was the mentor of Black Panther Party founder Huey Newton and his associate, Bobby Seale.
California Congresswoman Barbara Lee entered an official statement of appreciation of Warden and his Black Panther colleagues for their role in founding a radical group known as the African-American Association into the Congressional Record of April 23, 2007.
What did this radical extremist see in young Barack Obama that he would seek to sponsor and perhaps finance Obama's education? Obama says he paid his way solely through student loans. How did they meet? Where did the money he raised come from? Now that we know who the father of Bristol Palin's baby is, maybe the mainstream media will have time to find out.
