Theft By Deception

Sub-title: hiding your true intentions.

Getting what you want by lying, deceiving others. Practiced by one and all. Chemical mimicry in sexually deceptive orchids is one way. Visual mimicry is also used by the same orchids. So, at pollination time, the flower of a certain orchid, Ophrys abeille, looks and smells enticingly like a female bee (in estrous?). And sure enough, along comes a horny male bee, who gets himself ensnarled in the orchid's velvet petals. It's a little rough on him, but he finally crawls through and out the other side, having served the orchid's purpose of pollination nicely, and off he goes in search of, hopefully, a receptive (live) bee. But, one must assume that he falls for it at least once more, as that is when he passes the pollen packet to the next orchid.

Here he is, having a go at the orchid...

How the orchids figured this out is beyond me.

Another way to hide your true intentions in the insect world is is revealed by a closer look at the blister beetle, Meloe franciscanus. He's a weasily little sneak with a plan. Hey, kids gotta eat, too. OK. Male Solitary bees are lured to larval aggregations of said beetle (ok, it smelled like a female bee!) and upon contact (pseudocopulation) the beetle larvae attach to the male bees. Ha! You're it. The larvae then transfer to female bees during mating and subsequently are transported to the nests of their hosts, where one must assume, the beetle larvae have a meal of tasty bee larvae. Again, the bee world is duped. They are steady, but not too bright, I guess.

(Copied from some article)
"The aggressive chemical mimicry by the beetle larvae and their subsequent transport to their hosts' nests by the hosts themselves provide an efficient solution to the problem of locating a critical but scarce resource (meat) in a harsh environment." Aw.. There are many, many more examples of an organism's hiding its true intent by deception. Fish do it, birds, animals do it.

In the U.S. it is against the law to relieve another of their goods or services by deception. The law, appropriately named, is "Theft By Deception". Such a law keeps the honest man, honest. People who practice theft by deception are often fined, or incarcerated. Such is the basis of our common law.

But now we come to another application of the practice of hiding one's intentions to gain profit or power in man's world. Now, the muslims certainly didn't invent this practice. I'm sure it's as old as man himself, extending even back into the insect and animal world. But they've been at it for a long, long time - they even have names for the practice, have codified it in a little book they call the Qur'an. Hey, if the prophet did it, must be ok, right? And boy, he sure did it. His 10-year truce, back in the days of yore, was actually cut short - by 8 years. Just long enough for him to get his troops ready. Exactly like today. All's fair in love and war. And baby, this is war. We better not forget that.

The practice of Taqiyya, or lying, and otherwise deceiving the unsuspecting is done for the purpose of acquiring power over him. Likewise, da'wah is a gentler method of reassuring, calming any doubts, and otherwise insinuating themselves and their power aspirations into our, the lowly infidel, lives.

Now we move furthur into murkier waters...

See what kevin, at Amboy Times says: http://amboytimes.blogspot.com/2006/06/holy-lie.html

Taqiyya and kitman: The role of Deception in Islamic terrorism Tradecraft. Persona. Deception. Disinformation. Cover: Western operational terms and techniques. But, Islamic terrorists have their own terms: taqiyya (pronounced tark-e-ya) : precautionary dissimulation or deception and keeping one’s convictions secret and a synonymous term, kitman: mental reservation and dissimulation or concealment of malevolent intentions...

Da'wah, the preferred method of CAIR when infiltrating, and deceiving school officials requires "befriending the infidels", and reassuring them that their intentions are pure as the driven snow. Playing the multi-culti card, offering to share a meal with your family is a favored technique, because they know that "the way to an infidel's heart is through his stomach" - guess they read that somewhere. Mealtimes at my house were a bitch. But, if those "soft" techniques prove inadequate, they can and will play hardball. Of course, the ACLU has got their back.

Which brings me to the last type of deception, practiced before the whole world, the UN. America had best dissolve any relationship with that high organization of misfits, perverts, and assorted maladroits. Oh, Kofi, let me say GOOD-BYE, A-hole. And good riddance.

And while I'm saying good-bye, and this is not a deception...

See ya, Zarqawi.

I'M MAD AS HELL

Our President and his lackies at the State Department ignore signs like this. I think that is a mistake.

Here's what I have to say on the subject: NO ISLAMOFASCISM.

And I'm doing something about it. The Islamofascists have had pretty much a free ride setting up shop here on American soil. Our educators, our politicians, our federal judges are laying the groundwork for the demise of democracy and America as we know it. The resistance to this take-over by muslims is building. Go to this site. If you value your freedom, get up, get mad, get to work. In Britain, and all of Europe the process of appeasement gallops along.

If you think this is anything other than a political victory for the Islamists, you need to take a look at what's really happening in western Europe.

On The Home Front

Any concessions to CAIR or the local mosque will only tighten the noose. If we don't act to stop this madness, your children and most centainly your grandchildren will be living under shari'a, Islamic law, as second class citizens. And all of this is fondly looked upon by the power elites in this country. In America.

In fact, it's happening now, with CAIR and it's unlimited funds, Islam is slipping through the cracks in our schools and universities. Joe Kaufman, at CAIR WATCH can fill you in. Go spend a half hour, before dinner, read whatever catches your interest. Try this for one week: when you read the news, look for any act of appeasement by government officials or school officials to muslim demands for special treatment. Make a note of it in your mind. Whatever you do, don't fall for the crap the multiculti bureaucrats and school officials are passing out in the name of tolerance. I have no tolerance for the intolerant.

EUROPE GOES ISLAMIC?

"Oh, look - It's that 'religion of peace', Mom."

A lot of speculation about how fast Europe becomes Eurabia

'Europe Will Be Islamic by the End of the Century'
by Robert Spencer Posted Sep 16, 2004

How quickly is Europe being Islamized? So quickly that even historian Bernard Lewis, who has continued throughout his honor-laden career to be strangely disingenuous about certain realities of Islamic radicalism and terrorism, told the German newspaper Die Welt forthrightly that "Europe will be Islamic by the end of the century."

Or maybe sooner.

The Economist reports:

No war in their name—but no jihad against the West either.
Most Muslims in west European countries are fiercely critical of the war. But not so fiercely, their leaders hope and urge, as to be out of step with other critics.

No, the last thing European Muslims want is to see the war in Iraq spiral into a war with Islam. At least not yet. As the comedian said: Timing is everything.

“THANK you, Germany,” said one banner as Berlin Muslims last weekend protested against the Iraq war. Like most Muslims in western Europe, they are appalled by it. But there is a hint of a silver lining: so are most Germans, not least Gerhard Schröder, and most west Europeans are against it; and that shared feeling may be bringing together the natives and the Muslim minority. Increasingly, says Shahid Malik, a member of the national executive of Britain's Labour Party from strongly Muslim Burnley, in northern England, “Muslims see the ‘war on terrorism' as drifting into a war on Islam.” Listen to sides' rhetoric, says the director of Islam and Citizenship in The Hague, and the idea becomes ever harder to rebut.

Muslims, of course, are hoping, praying that Germany's and France's anti-American sentiment resentment will last long enough for their policies of da'wah to dumb everybody down. But that may be wishful thinking. Time is running out on the muslims. IMAO the muslims will simply not be able to contain their arrogance, and start a war they can't finish. I'm counting on the Wahabis to over-play their hand. Germany and France will probably come crying to the U.S. for help. As usual.

One thing about muslims, especially Arabs, you must never forget: they're lying sons-of-bitches. If I've offended you, too bad.
FOOTNOTE TO SELF: It's Islam and the Qur'an, the Wahabies, and all they've infected with their hatred and desire to rule the world. It's hard for me to say it, but I must. It's not the muslims. Ok, I said it. I hate Islamofascism, secular humanism, and any form of Marxism, which is a torment to the spirit. -NA

Giving Thanks

This has been a year of blessings for me. So many good things have happened. I have VA health coverage, and my health is good. I retired in Sept. I work with the Senior Corp Foster Grandparent Program helping wonderful people, take care of disabled children. Actually, that catch-all term, "disabled" is misleading. Oh, they have problems, alright. And there are some who probably do fit the disabled category. But for most, the problems are something that can be addressed, and transcended. Very dedicated staff. And the personal connections I have with so many of them enriches me in spirit, which cleanses my soul. So I am thankful and grateful for what I have. And now I suddenly have this other channel open to me, that of blogging, working with inspiring people who teach me how to fight for America's freedom. So, I want to say, Thank You, to all who have enriched my life. And I give thanks also to God, who lives in each of us, and feels our joy, our pain and Who holds us in His palm.

“But all the wickedness in the world which man may do or think is no more to the mercy of God than a live coal dropped in the sea.” - William Langland

It is not an easy time for anyone these days. There are forces of darkness unleashed in the world today, which will test us all, in ways we cannot even imagine in the months and years to come. We are all right where we need to be. The anguished cries of the world do not go unheard, however it may appear. Have faith. And for those who are able, stand up and fight.

God Bless America

Today I was searching for information on the Beslan massacre in Russia, committed by Chechen Muslim terrorists. Along the way I got wind of one Dr. Tawfik Hamid, a Muslim who is a medical doctor, author and activist, and once was a member of Egypt's Al-Gama'a al-Islamiyya (Arabic for "the Islamic Group"), a banned terrorist organization. I was researching him because I heard he has a message for Americans, and the Western World, regarding Islam's Imperialism.

Here it is:

Hamid is infuriated by the Western reponse to this challenge:

"Stop asking what you have done wrong. Stop it! They're slaughtering you like sheep and you still look within. You criticize your history, your institutions, your churches. Why can't you realize that it has nothing to do with what you have done but with what they want."

You can read the rest of his message here, at the National Post in Canada and here, at the Daily Pundit. When I find newsworthy articles, I try to drill down to the original source. Not so much because I don't trust what I've just found, but because I find so much more along the way to discovery of what it means to be an American in today's world. And today I found the source of the article to be a Canadian journalist, author, and public speaker, Michael Coren, who writes for the National Post. When I looked up Michael Coren's bio, I found this:

God Bless America:

Goodness me I’ve never been a particular fan of many of the foreign and domestic policies of the United States. I’ve said this, written this, broadcast this. I’ve taken a few blows for it as well. But there is a time and a place for everything. And at this time and in this place I say just three words. God Bless America. For leaving half-a million men on the battlefields of Africa, Asia and Europe during the Second World War, a conflict the United States could easily have sat out. For effectively forcing Japan to declare war and thus join the alliance of light against the gang of darkness. God Bless America. For that farm-boy from Nebraska who had never even heard of Normandy or Sicily, who wanted so much to walk back from the hill but continued on, the bullets flying over and around him. For his not turning back. For his determination to do his duty and for his dedication to freedom. For his mother and for the stars and stripes flag she hung in her window. For his life, and for the fact that he gave it. God Bless America.

For being prepared to rip the country apart in a bloody spasm of civil war because, however delayed and reluctant in some quarters, the leaders and people knew that slavery was wrong. For seeing the future dawn when others could only see the enveloping night . God Bless America. For Lincoln and Roosevelt, Eisenhower and Truman, Kennedy and Franklin, Jefferson and Adams. For Mark Twain and John Steinbeck, Henry James and Scott Fitzgerald, Melville and Whitman. God Bless America. For the legion of Nobel Prizes won with grace, for the medical breakthroughs celebrated with decorum, for the sporting records, the intellectual triumphs, the moral victories, the glory. For embracing yes rather than hiding behind no. God Bless America. For the pastures and forests vibrant with green and brown lushness, for the mountains and valleys that startle and shock the world. For the cities and the towns, the highways and back roads. God Bless America.

For not taking offence at the smug disdain that comes too often from other countries. For smiling with them instead of laughing at them. For usually extending a hand of friendship to those who extend the fist of anger. God Bless America. For jazz and pluralism, baseball and religious tolerance, burgers and equality. For inventing and pursuing an ideal that, though not always achieved, is still glorious in the making and pristine in the chasing. God Bless America. For the billions in foreign aid, greater per capita than any other country in the world. For the food, clean water, medicine, machinery given to every continent on earth. For the Marshall Plan and Marshall Dillon, for Tom Sawyer and Tom Hanks, for New York and for the New Deal. God Bless America. For not minding when foreigners actually show more ignorance about American culture than Americans ever do about theirs. For in fact being more polite and sensitive when abroad than many other peoples but merely smiling when described as ugly. God Bless America.

For inviting Irish, Jew, Italian, Pole, German, Hispanic, black, Asian, man and woman, all and every into the highest levels of government. For being the first nation in the world to treat the outsider as a guest rather than a problem. For being a melting pot rather than a melting society. God Bless America. For allowing God and prayer and faith to enter public life and for not running scared of gratitude to the almighty for all that He has given us. For not lauding the religion of secularism whilst hypocritically lambasting the religions of the church, mosque and synagogue. God Bless America. For your comedies and your dramas, for your movies and your novels, your sentimentality and glamour, your self-parody and self-criticism. For your splendour and for your silliness. God Bless America.

For being right more often than being wrong. For being the United States of America and for being unashamed of it. For being the nation that still leads the way in so many ways, still lights the path on so many days. For being you.
For being.

God Bless America.

Fighting the War

Dymphna, over at The Gates of Vienna just posted this over on the 910 Forum.

Smitten Eagle sounds like a good ally. Check out his comments at

http://gatesofvienna.blogspot.com/2006/11/throwing-rumsfeld-under-bus.html

The Nation-State is a product of Westphalia and 19th century nationalism. We are fighting a 4GW conflict, and the capabilities of the state and the requirements of 4GW are not in balance. It will require more than a Nation-State to win this war, just as it will take more than Foggy Bottom or the resources of the Potomac Puzzle Palace.

What is problematic for me is the sense that the jihadists are playing a totalitarian version of "good cop- bad cop" ie, CAIR vs Bin Ladin. While the world is being distracted by terrorist acts, muslims such as Keith Ellison et al, are at the forefront of "lawful jihad", dulling our perception of who our enemies really are. And quietly, the insidious moves are being made in/on our schools, eg Mason, Ohio, in the name of a "moderate Islam", a "peaceful religion". A prayer room here, special diet there, concessions for muslim womens wear, sensitivity indoctrination for our freshmen in the universities; it all adds up, doesn't it? Remember the French Régime de Vichy? At this point in time, the leftists are accommodating the muslim spread. But as Fjordman and in fact the Islamists themselves have pointed out, the multicultural aspirations of the Left will get left in the dust, once the Islamists have control.

Will we allow that to happen? We've had it too easy here in America. We want the easy way out. That won't work anymore. Want to fight a personal revolution? Try this for six months: Mentally disengage from the pap The LA/NY Times, Reuters, BBC is spewing out. Start by putting your TV in the basement. Don't watch anything the MSM has to say. Their only real agenda is their bottom line, and there are plenty of leftist-influenced companies spreading their money around. Stop going to the leftist-dominated movies Hollywood foists on us. Think you will become uninformed about what is happening in the world? You won't. Find a place where you fit, and jump in. Don't think about the consequences of comittment, just jump in. Get mad, get moving.

For too long have we allowed Big Government to do our thinking for us. It educates our children, fights our battles, and promises that when we wake up tomorrow, it will be as free citizens, in a free land. That's what we celebrate the 4th of July for, right? Fireworks! Bigger and better this year. Not if the Islamists have their way. Better remember what those fireworks signify. Because at the rate we're going, we will wake up one day and find it's different. And if we lose the battle here in America, everybody loses, everybody is punishèd. We must not play into the politician's hands. Their only actions will be ones of appeasement from now on, unless we take the battle to them, on a local and state level. If we deal with our own ignorance, we've got a chance. Our own let's-go-to-DisneyLand, couch-potato, cushy lives make it easy to stay mis-informed, and watching the 6:00 news won't cure our ignorance. By ignorance, I mean "to ignore" - that's the meaning of the term.

So when I hear over and over again, that our battle is with Islamic extremism, I want to shout NOOOO. Dammit, our enemies are within ourselves. I don't want to believe at this point that a general lack of vigilence in America is simply a given. But unless we wake up to the real terror (not bombs and chaos-that's just for show) of having our children dhimmified because of our own lack of resolve, the war will be lost.

I like what Smitten Eagle has to say. He is speaking from a military vantage point: small arms, on the ground, face-to-face combat. For us too, but the local school boards, the grinding work of developing proponents for local referendums, initiatives, etc. is where the work needs to be done. Forget the political parties, just use them where expedient. Red, blue - what difference has it made? While our military is off fighting, we can't control our borders, we can't stop the Leftists from controlling the textbooks our children read, we can't stop the leftist professors from using their classrooms as a forum for their own political agendas. America is being taken over by a totalitarian ideology. It has many names: secular progressivism, multicultural reform, cultural Marxism, etc, etc. The Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR find this very encouraging. They are working hard every day, laying the groundwork for muslim dominance. How hard are we working to preserve our freedom?

The Enemy Within

This is a somewhat long blog for me, and I apologize, but when I sit down to write, it comes out in one piece, and I can't stop it. If you go back and read my original 2 or 3 blogs, you will see that on the face of things, I am not a great tool for enlisting in a cultural revolution. I was set to retire in Arizona, buy me a donkey, and explore the desert. I made the mistake of looking too closely at America, and everything changed for me. Because the closer I looked, the angrier I got at what has been happening under my nose. Oh, I knew the educational system was basically disfunctional, but never looked at the causes. I could see that activist judges were trying to legislate from the bench. I'm not blind. But to understand how something works, or has become unworkable, one must look deeper. And I didn't want to do that, because I'm lazy. One thing I could see is that the MSM is not giving its readers the truth.

When my TV fell off the table, and the lines went ever whichaway, I took it as a sign, threw out the TV and began to look online, where I discovered bloggers like Baron Bodissey at the Gates of Vienna, and Sissy Willis><, and Fjordman, and David Horowitz, Nedd Kareiva at Stop the ACLUand Michelle Malkin, and the Freedom Folks...well the list goes on. Freedom fighters. That is what they are, and it's that energy that I've tapped into. By myself, I could do nothing. But if we all pitch in - America is in trouble, you know. Our educational systems, our colleges, primary, secondary and high schools are corrupt from within. The ideological hegemony of the multiculturalists is already deep-rooted in our universities. Look at what happened to Summers at Harvard. He backed down to Jesse Jackson, and he continued to back down to the PC police, until he was utterly defenseless, reduced to offering to appease the outraged Feminists, and was shown the door for his crime of expressing an opinion in a closed meeting. If we don't stand up for our democratic principles, our freedom will be taken from us.

If you don't believe me, take a look in the schools for yourself. And ask yourself the question: Is what I'm seeing what I really want for our children? As a nation, we can't read, do simple math, or write a sentence. But that's not he worst of it. We are setting ourselves up to be toppled by a totalitarian force so extreme, so hate-filled, that Nazi Germany will seem like a school play [I went back and re- read this, and didn't intend to downplay the horrors of that war -got carried away - sorry] And the bad part is - the Muslim jihadists are having the doors opened from within. Multiculturalists, Gramscians, cultural Marxists, secular progressives - by any name - all leftist parasites who left their host and set up shop here, a capitalist nation. They sit on the board of directors of our major universities, our charity foundations, and yes, certainly on the bench. The ACLU, CAIR, the Muslim Brotherhood, the Feminist Majority Foundation, to name just a few, are just symptoms. They are leeches, corrupting our youth, draining our resolve, plotting America's downfall. Sounds alarmist? Well, as I said, you have a look, then tell me I'm an alarmist.

But they are not the enemy. The enemy lies within us. Complacency, ignorance, sloth, selfishness. We are all so isolated within our little shells of existence, and we don't even realize it. The battle, as I see it is two-fold: resist the forces of evil, and support those who need our support. Simple. Join me, if you will. I hope to hear from you. To fight my own selfishness, I have to help another. To dissolve my own slothiness, I have to want to help. To combat my own ignorance, I just have to stop ignoring, and see what is in my sight. And then act on what I see. To sweep away complacency in myself, I have to see that our children need our support. What are they heirs to, if we give up? Hopelessness. Despair. A planet gone mad. If you want to see madness, take a look at Europe Eurabia. But it's never too late. As long as we are willing to fight.

So, now I have joined the ranks of citizens who will not allow America to be sacked and pillaged.

When I began my quest by looking into the strategies and goals (intent is the word that comes to mind) of the various philanthropic organizations a few weeks ago, what I found is both alarming and enlightening. Going back 100 years, all the way back to 1905, the Rockerfeller Foundation has had a goal of advancing the Marxist's covert vision of socialist revolution. In fact, the Rockerfellers themselves were a hard-core bunch of elitist, subversive anarchists, intent (there's that word again) on implementing the Gramscian methodologies in our institutions, social and educational.

The Ford Foundation I mentioned already is a perverse cancer, metastasizing in all directions, and needs to be stopped. So far as I can see, there has been no successful challenge to the Ford Foundation's dominance in the field of educational reform. They are marching (goose-stepping?) right across America, spreading their so-called secular progressive mandates, and destroying our educational institutions in the process. And it's an ideology of empty promises. There is no substance to the leftists, just destroy and keep on destroying. They just want to feel powerful.

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, with the addition of Warren Buffet's billions, will have an unprecedented global impact. Gates and Buffet have already indicated that in addition to the estimated 30 billion curently in the Foundation, they will be donating huge amounts of their personal fortunes in the foreseeable future. A lot of money. Having had a look at goals of the Ford Foundation, the notion that a board of trustees of this magnitude could follow the same path and unleash virtually limitless funding for the advancement of leftist political and educational policies gives one pause. So I was relieved when I read in the 2005 Annual Report of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation a statement by Patty Stonesifer, CEO. She said: "I'm often asked: Why doesn't the Gates Foundation have a board of trustees? The answer boils down to the fact that Bill and Melinda—our two trustees—are deeply involved in the foundation's work. They want to keep learning as much as they can and shaping our strategies so their wealth can do the most good for the most people. They want this foundation to be able to act quickly, responding to the problems that we've identified and to new ones as we learn about them. And they feel that they're best able to do that by maintaining control themselves."

According to FORTUNE Magazine, June 26, 2006, It is by far the largest foundation in the world - even now, before Warren Buffett's historic gifts. And its creed is appropriately broad: 'Guided by the belief that every life has equal value, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation works to reduce inequities and improve lives around the world'." So. No board of trustees. Other than Bill and Melinda. Whew! I hope that Mr. Gates and Mr. Buffet share some conservative values, aside from making more money than (I want to say God, but it's all His, anyway) anyone else. I know I'm going to write to Bill and Melinda Gates, and Patty Stonesifer, personally - and let them know my concerns. Can't hurt, right?

I'm an admitted light-weight when it comes to researching these kinds of foundations, but from what I can find, their goals would indicate that the Gateses are aiming at global problems, health, malaria, innoculations, aids, TB etc. Aside from a 1 billion one-time donation to the United Negro College Fund, and trying to fix the high schools - better technology, better trained teachers, etc, - I don't see any particular bent on changing the world to a multicultured fruit basket. But with the kind of money they have to throw around, a very close scrutiny would seem in order. Because you know the secular progressives are gonna come hat in hand. And the Gates are still finding their way, when it comes to educational reforms. To be continued...

Tools of Freedom

“It is no use saying, ‘We are doing our best.’
You have got to succeed in doing what is necessary.”
- Winston Churchill

No Jam Today -

"…. No, it can’t,” said the Queen. “It’s jam every other day: today isn’t any other day, you know.” “I don’t understand you,” said Alice. “It’s dreadfully confusing!” “That’s the effect of living backward,” the Queen said kindly: “it always makes one a little giddy at first — ” “Living backward!” Alice repeated in great astonishment. “I never heard of such a thing!” ” — but there’s one great advantage in it, that one’s memory works both ways.” “I’m sure mine only works one way,” Alice remarked. “I can’t remember things before they happen.”
“It’s a poor sort of memory that only works backward,” the Queen remarked.

Lewis Carroll - Through the Looking Glass

Tools needed for the fight:

Eyes, ears, memory that works both ways, presence of mind, unity of purpose, friends, courage, conviction, will to win, sacrifice.

Or as Winston Churchill put it: “I like a man who grins when he fights."
